Skills and Techniques

Primarily self-taught, I've been given hints and tips by various artisans which I've incorporated into my skill set. Most often, my beads are strung on coated wire but I also use Fireline thread when doing more intricate pieces. The more I make jewelry, the more I learn. The more I learn, the more I want to make jewelry. As I said before, it's my passion, my obsession and my joy!

Get to Know

When I'm beading, I'm lost in another dimension. Cares and worries seem to fade away and all that exists for me is the piece I'm working on. I love exploring new techniques and working with new components. Beading brings me a satisfaction unfelt in any other endeavor. After trying various other creative outlets - from baby quilts to gift baskets - I truly believe I have at last found my nirvana.

My mother in law is one of my best customers! Wearing fire polished Czech glass in crystal + purple.

Blue Bayou -- I don't usually use acrylic beads but these were too cool to pass up. Paired with mother of pearl shell bits, I liked this one so much I kept it for myself!

Ã, Snowberries--again, made for my mother-in-law. Celestial crystals in red and white form a lovely necklace custom made, strung on Fireline for Jean from one she saw in a bead book.
