Get to Know

I have experimented in one form of art or another since my early teens. From collage to painting, creative writing, embroidery and sewing, crocheting and knitting, I have had many interests, but needle woven beading techniques really captured my imagination. I started knitting tiny beaded pendant pouches about 10 years ago, and on the hunt for beads for the pouches, discovered the world of seed beads. Now, I incorporate them into my art in a variety of techniques. From the simplicity of a herringbone bracelet to the intricacy of a netted, embellished collar, my pieces are unique, one of a kind, and always Artfully Decadent.

A rich wrist ruffle for autumn! I love this design and it transforms itself when made in different color ways. This one is gorgeous, with glass leaves of clear, gold, amber, green, and wine, with other multishapes. Large button with dried grasses embedded. There's a ladybug or two hiding amidst the leaves.

A beautiful cabochon is the centerpiece for this extravagantly embroidered bracelet. I've incorporated gold/bronze fresh water pearls into this design which reminds me of classical music, perhaps in Mozart's time. Baroque perhaps?

A pretty little pair of earrings peyote woven of #15 hematite hex cut beads and tipped with funky Baroque white fresh water pearls. Sterling silver wires.

I have a deep passion for wedding jewelry. The chevron necklace is embellished with pearls and fire polished opalescent crystals. I love the way this one caresses the neckline. The wrist ruffle mirrors the components, and has many glass shapes, fresh water pearls and fire polishes also.
