Art of Sole Designs specializes in individually designed contemporary jewelry and crafts for all occasions. Relatively new on the scene, in 2006, Art of Sole was founded in the city of New Orleans as a way of relieving the stress caused by Hurricane Katrina by artist and designer Helena Robinson. Since this time, her line of products has been described as cool, fresh, and eclectic.
Helena's creativity is driven by her belief in the more color, the brighter the color, the better. Finding beauty in all shades and hues, she intermingles vibrant beads and vivid gemstones to reflect her vision. Her favorite is colorful glass but she also uses other quality materials including freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, and various other natural materials such as shell, wood, and seeds. Helena's current focus for the last year has been Mosaic jewelry using reclaimed glass, new broken glass and a variety of glass beads and Fabric earrings using recycled and new fabric swatches.
