Skills and Techniques
The pendants are handcrafted especially for you. I start with a page from a vintage Funk and Wagnall's dictionary. I further the aging of the paper by letting the page sit outside in the sun. Then I build the collage using a series of complicated steps that involves my magic potion. After the pendant is complete, I assemble the chain and put the piece together.

For the past seventeen years, I have been an artist disguised as a school teacher. Now that my kids are grown I have decided to devote 100% to my art, because I feel that it is my true gift.
I enjoy creating jewelry reminiscent of a bi-gone era. I have been told that I have and old soul and I believe it to be true because I love and appreciate all things vintage. In fact my kids grew up in Victorian house in Ohio. Although I use new materials in my art, I strive for a vintage look.
I remember being a little girl and gazing with wonder in my mom's and grandma's jewelry boxes. It is with that excitement that I named my shop, "Aunt Matilda's Jewelry Box." It's that experience that I want you to have each time you visit my store.
