Skills and Techniques
Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by colors. As time passed I developed an appreciation for art, and my main inspiration is nature. A simple wild flower or a sparkling firefly in summer nights is good reasons to fill my heart with joy.
Wearable art is my goal now; I have been working on silk painting and silk dying since 1991.and recently I was attractd by free form crochet and knitting. My first contact with silk painting was in Africa when I was assigned to work at the Brazilian Embassy in Namibia. I also bring with me the experience of having lived in Australia and Brazil, my native country.
I am glad to be in the States where I have more contact with artists in the area and gain from them the sophistication, techniques and inspirational support.
