Get to Know

I've always been fascinated with the world around me. As a little kid I was always picking up rocks to bring home; Quartz, fluorite, and geodes were fun favorites to find! My appreciation of stones in particular grew as I studied geology in college. Learning the science of these pretties only fed my inspiration to create with them. Every stone has a story to tell, and as a jewelry designer, I try to find that story in every stone and present its tale through my work. I was also lucky enough to be exposed to art at a young age, by visiting museums as well as experimenting with various art mediums. I started learning beadwork after visiting a Native American museum, where I was amazed at the beautiful beadwork they had on display. Over many years my work evolved to working more with gemstones, pearls, and metal. I have yet to loose my wonder of the world around me. In addition to jewelry design, I also enjoy nature and science photography, and occasionally painting and pastel work.
