About Bittersweet Origin Story (aka- A Good Yarn): Bittersweet Woolery is the lovechild of me (Dye Mistress Tina) and my long time squeeze, Mr. Yarny Goodness. In other words, I really, really love yarn and color, and like to share the outcome with others. I started crocheting at the tender age of 7, but took off with a passion in my early 20\'s. Things really got out of control right around 2004 when knitting, spinning, dyeing, and designing joined the party. Most of you know how that goes. ;) Vision There is a guiding principle here at Bittersweet, two actually: * First, I don\'t sell yarn I don\'t enjoy using myself. Plain and simple. * Second, I dye yarn that gives you options, not takes them away. What\'s the point in pretty yarn that you don\'t know what to do with when you get home? What does that mean? It means that I will always create colorways that don\'t shackle you to boring stockinette or ribbing. I will create other colorways as well, but my focus will be on lower contrast, harmonious colorways that you can still knit lace or cables with while not being boxed in. At any given time on my site or in my booth you will find semi-solids, versatile (low contrast)offerings, and sometimes more traditionally variegated colorways. At the core of it all are base yarns and spinning fibers that I myself enjoy knitting with. Dye Mistress Tina I am your quirky Dye Mistress, emphasis on the quirky. In a nutshell, I\'m very outgoing, passionate about fiber and the fiber arts community, and I love vampires (long before they sparkled).
