Hi! My name is Jen (in case you hadn't guessed ;)), and I LOVE creating unique, one of a kind pieces, and doing custom work
Chainmaille, wire work, especially combining the two together! I know this is probably supposed to contain something about my outside interests, but seriously, this is my biggest passion! I'm also a big music fan, does that count? :)

This whole jewellery making thing started way back when i was in high school. I always liked being a little different from the rest, and it was no different when it came to jewellery. I had a really difficult time finding stuff that I liked, it was always the same as what everyone else had. So I grabbed whatever small tools I could find around the house & some of my mom's old jewellery and began making Frankenjewellery - taking them apart & combining different pieces to create something completely new and unique. After far too long of a hiatus, a friend of mine reintroduced me after learning a few basic chainmaille techniques & kindly sharing her newfound passion with me. Once I got started, there was no turning back! I absolutely LOVE coming up with new ideas & sharing them with others, and I can't think of anything more gratifying than hearing how much others have enjoyed my work as well. I also love doing custom work for others who are looking for a piece that is special & unique to them or a loved one. You can find some of the custom work I've created on my Facebook fan page: facebook.com/BrainofJen

One of the beaches in Newfoundland where I collect seaglass. This one is just behind my parents' house in Southern Harbour.
One of the custom orders I'm most proud of, commissioned by a customer I met at a craft show. She was looking for something frog themed as a wedding gift for friends, so I wrapped these 2 frog's eye cabochons in a sterling Tree of Life pendant. Happy coincidence: I found out after I'd made these that the groom was an arborist, how perfect is that?!
My favourite creation so far: black silk rose & Swarovski crystals on twisted wire, with a smoky blue niobium byzantine chain
