Get to Know
Hello! Welcome to my Art Fire Studio!
As for me, I graduated with a BA in East Asian Languages and Culture. Like many others in this art, I'm self taught, though I've studied Fiber Arts in college, along with other Japanese arts and cultures.
Of course, I enjoy making kanzashi, so you'll find all sorts of different designs in my shop alongside some of the more well known ones. I experiment and grow with the craft!
In case you don't know much about the art, Kanzashi (sometimes called "kamikazari" or "hair ornaments" and sometimes translated as "ornate hair pins") are made from many squares of fabric which are then folded into individual petals.
