Until not so long ago women used to make their own beauty treats from fresh plants, not because they were conscious of the danger of chemicals and alike, but because it was all what they knew and could have for pampering and treating their skin and hair.
Most importantly they used to look much better and healthier than we do now (;. Look ate my mother in her glorious 96ths (:
I've worked for 30 years in the food and cosmetic industry as chemist, analyst & formulator being 9 years working for the Natural Cosmetic Industry.
The extraordinary power of natural healing ingredients led me to later became a Certified Herbalist and Skin Care Specialist.
Using my expertise I partnered with my sister, a certified nurse and nutritionist, to create a line of wholesome, healing, effective and safe skin/bath/spa products thus, Celebration Vitae, which are the Latin words for Celebration of Life - was born.
My previous jobs put me in contact with the most exotic and healing ingredients from all over the globe, used by local population either as a nutritious food source, as for healing the body and the spirit. Today we use the same ingredients for (ritually) creating a wholesome line of body, bath, home and pet products.
We purchase our ingredients in small quantity directly from small producers all over the world, which besides getting the freshest and unmodified ingredients we can, it is our way to support and promote the practice of Fair Trade, because we truly believe we can add more than hope on people's lives.
The same raw ingredients used for making our products are also available in our shop. If you handmade your own body and bath products you will be amazed by the results in making a product with these whole, raw unrefined oils and butters.
As we do not use any synthetic/chemical preservative we make our products in a way to get the most beneficial properties of the ingredients used in a formulation, making very small scale batches to ensure freshness an optimum shelf life of one year.
