My daughter, Cassidy, is the one responsible for my obsession with creating unique and fun jewelry. She started making stretchy bracelets in the summer of 2008 to keep up with her brother's lawn mowing business. She was only 10 years old at the time. Her dad and I would take them to work and the ladies that we worked with loved them. One thing led to another and she started to get special requests for necklaces and earrings, etc. So basically, she needed help. Mom to the rescue. I started looking around the internet for "deals" on beads and wire, Hobby Lobby can get a little pricey when your working with any quantity at all. I knew we were in trouble as soon as I found "Fire Mountain Gems and Beads". We started a display at the salon where we get our hair done, Salon 152 in Mustang, Ok. Then we bought our site with Artfire.

She has had a great learning experience on the business aspect of making jewelry. She can budget and estimate the cost of a necklace based on supplies and time required to make the peice. Making jewelry together is a great bonding experience and she is so creative. I just love it.
