Skills and Techniques
I've been working with polymer clay for fifteen years. I also write for the polymer clay blog at the Craft Gossip network of blogs.
Aside from working with clay, the various skills I have picked up over the years include carving stamps, sewing, loom knitting, paper crafts, macrame, and creating jewelry.

Get to Know
I learned to embroider as a young girl with my mother teaching me. I also picked up some basic sewing skills in our local 4-H club. (my 4-H activities included sewing, cooking, and taking care of pigs)
As a kindergartener, my favorite table to spend time at was the one with the Play-Doh, and I was constantly pestering my big sister to help me create batches of homemade play clay. One summer during my college years I picked up several packages of polymer clay after meeting an artist who made beads with it, and I was almost immediately hooked.
I'm currently back in school, working on finishing the theatre and dance degree I started 18 years ago. I'm excited to be adding to my repertoire of creative skills not only on the stage, but behind the scenes as well.
