Raised on my Grandparent's humble farm outside a small town in central Minnesota, I was surrounded by a very resourceful and creative family. Both my Mother and Grandmother were deeply influential in my artistic development. My Grandmother was a fabulous cook, accomplished in crochet, embroidery, and very artistic in both oil and acrylic painting on canvas. My Mother was also quite magical in the kitchen, was adept with a needle, knitting, crocheting, and sewing for the family.
From a very young age, I have enjoyed creating crafts and works of art for my children, family and friends. Whether it be a custom sewn jacket, quilt or wedding dress, personalized scrapbooks, crocheted doilies, cross stitch, elaborate crocheted turn of the century collector doll dresses, delicious sculptured cakes, or most recently hand painting unique glassware, home decor, gifts, designer jewelry and polymer clay art.
