I love needlework but was always losing my tools - scissors, seam ripper, needles, etc. I liked the idea of a chatelaine but was too impatient to stitch/sew one. I wanted to be able to easily remove tools if necessary and thought it should be long enough to work with the tools on so I didn't have to lean over my work to use them. So, I came up with this design with 6 removable fobs featuring lobster claw clasps.

I also wanted my product to last a long time. Some beaded items fall apart easily due to flimsy wire (or string). Glass beads cut right thru them. I use 49 strand stainless steel wire in my products (kind of like a cable)and the best quality beads and findings. I use American made components where ever possible, however our beads are Czech and of course, Swarovski crystals are Austrian.

A chatelaine without stuff to put on it is no use to anyone, so I also sell handcrafted acrylic needle cases and pin cushions, German Scissors, Bohin and Piecemaker needles, and a variety of other needlework supplies.
