Thank you for visiting my Art Fire store and considering the purchase of my soaps. My name is DeShawn Marie and I've been making handmade soaps, candles, creams, oils, gifts and favors for over 17 years now. It is my full time job and I love it, I can't imagine doing anything else. I've traveled near and far to collect inspiration and ingredients for my delicious creations. I enjoy traveling to exotic places with different cultures to gather new ideas for my soaps. I am inspired by food, chocolates, candy, pastries, agriculture, colors and textures from other cultures. For instance my Limoncello soap was inspired by the Amalfi coast in Italy where I was served this delicious drink for the first time. I had been smelling lemons growing wild on the trees there for a few days when one evening in a beautiful little cafe in Positano they served me a complimentary Limoncello. After having that first drink of Limoncello I just knew I had to recreate this experience in my soap. It's moments like these that keep my creative juices flowing and my mind and hands racing home to create, create, create :)
