Get to Know
I received my Bachelors degree in art from Cal State Fullerton in the 70's. Worked at Disneyland for a few years and then worked as a Computer programmer for 19 years, until I got laid off in 2003.
I took a few jewelry making classes through a local community colleges after I got laid off. The first semester was one of the most frustraiting art/craft type classes I have ever taken. Tourch and soldering and I do not get along. But I did learn a bit about working with metal (silver and copper).
After a little more exploring, I discovered polymer clay. It is such a versitle meduim! Even though I still do metal working from time to time, but polymer clay is my favorite medium for jewlery making.
I'm always experimenting and trying new things. Most recently, I've been exploring off loom bead weaving and bead embroidery. Both are very meditative.
I also like to paint, knit and garden. And,I do a bit of home canning and preserving. This is my second year as Master Food Preserver through WSU (Washington State University) extension.
Hope you enjoy viewing my jewelry pieces as much as I enjoy creating them.
