I am blessed with sons and grandchildren and a wonderful husband who not only tolerates my creativity (which is messy at times) but encourages it.

A teacher by profession, I have always loved creating, guess that's why I became a teacher. I am especially drawn to antique and vintage look/type items. There is just something about interacting with the past through items used, and/or reproducing that allure through artful techniques. I love decorative painting most I think. There are so many technique that easily carry over into other mediums and crafts. It is just simply fun to create something useful or decorative from a blank canvas.

I have been painting and crafting for the past 15 years or so. My business name evolved from friends and customers when asked where they found a certain item, they replied "oh, Dorothy did it." So the name is tribute to those who encouraged me to do even more.

Something new for me now is working with computer graphics and digital cutters....always something else to explore.
