Hello and Welcome.

My name is Ema. My given is name is Ellen, but I prefer my nickname of Ema. I have spent the past 20 years raising my three sons. In the early days of child rearing I ran a bookkeeping business and helped my husband launch his own electrical business. Upon the birth of my third son I wound down my bookkeeping business to focus on raising my family and support my husband in his business.

When my baby boy began school full time I began to think about the direction of my own life a bit more. I didn't want to go back to the world of accounting. I had been dabbling in jewelry making for some years and decided it was time to expand on the artist in me. I took a class in lampworking and have never looked back.

My oldest son is in college, another will be heading to college in the fall and my baby, at 11 yrs old is becoming a fine young man, although still in need of a mom's support and attention.

This year I intend to develop my lampworking business (two boys in college requires me to earn some money...oooy!). So it is here in my store I will offer my handmade lampwork beads. My unique one of a kind beads to you. I may also offer other handcrafted items in my shoppe too. I find my desire to experiment with different mediums every once in a while keeps the creativity fresh. Although lampworking will always be my first and foremost business endeavor.

I am a self representing glass artist (SRA K87) creating my lampwork glass from my home based studio. My favorite place to be is sitting behind my torch letting my mind wander in the creative process. Forming glass into something other than what it began as is a very gratifying experience. It can be meditative at times. This is where I would spend all of my time if I actually could. I truly love what I do. My creations are original one of a kind beads.
