My name is Em, and I am a fibrephile, crafty jack-of-all-trades, video game geek, and knitting addict. When I am not dyeing, knitting, spinning, sewing, or designing, I am an at-home parent to my one year old daughter.
Everything Old is the outlet for my creativity and passion for all textile arts. I work from my home in beautiful Victoria, BC, where my kitchen and dining room have become my studio. I love colour and texture, and I like to take a hands-on, painterly approach to my dyeing (this most often results in dyed fingers and counter tops!). My education spans both art history and fashion design, and I like to bring a sense of both into my work. Whenever possible I like to work with recycled materials - beads, textiles, leather, and even vinyl deserve a second life as something beautiful and useful.
The Everything Old line of yarns is predominantly lace and fingering weight - perfect for smaller projects that require one or two skeins of beautiful, one-of-a-kind colour. I dye touchable, quality yarns that are a pleasure to work with.
I choose and dye my spinning fibre based on what I look for in my own spinning: quality, variety, and unique, attractive colourways. I try to stock as many different wools, blends, and luxury fibres as possible, giving you as much variety of experience as I can.
My project bags and knitting accessories are all designed with practicality and usefulness in mind. These are the project bags and stitch markers I like to use, and I hope you will like them too.
If you'd like the get to know me better, I blog relatively frequently at http://everything-old-crafts.blogspot.com/ I am also on Twitter and Ravelry as EverythingOldEm. Like the Everything Old Facebook page for updates and secret sales! I'd love to see you there!

True Blue sock yarn in Lavastorm. I love bright, saturated colours.
Sometimes I dye something that I just can't let go. This light brown alpaca in the Peonies colourway is one of my favourites.
Fairy Lights is one of my most popular colourways! Contact me if you don't see any in stock.
