I began making jewelry in 2005 just for myself and for fun, mainly because I had trouble finding pieces to complete my historical costumes. I bought a few project books and some basic tools and supplies from a local craft store, and within a week, I was hooked! My skills and designs have come a long way since then, but I only have grown to love the creative process even more. We are very grateful to our loyal customers that have helped us grow our business. I design and produce quality jewelry pieces and other accessories in a variety of materials and price ranges and with varying levels of historic authenticity. I spend lots of time poring over historical portraits to get ideas and see if I can reproduce designs seen in these paintings. We specialize in creating "period-appropriate" pieces for historical re-enactors, as well as custom pieces for special occasions, weddings and bridal parties, etc. In addition to my jewelry business, I am a voice teacher and singer, and keep a very busy schedule with teaching and performing. We often spend our weekends at Celtic festivals, Highland Games, Renaissance Faires, and historical re-enactments in the SCA (www.sca.org). In 2008, my husband Patrick took over the business side of things, leaving me free to spend more time creating lovely work. He recently went back to school and completed a business degree in Finance to take things to the next level.
