Interests
Sea glass collecting, wire wrapping, beading, soldering and my favorite passion fly fishing-there's just about no place better to be than standing in a stream!
Skills and Techniques
I learned many of my skills from my best friend Mary Lou who has since passed away. She taught me many wonderful things, including the art of being a friend.
I wander along the shores of the Great Lakes and other places in search for the sea glass that I use. What I can not find, I buy from trusted suppliers from places like Hawaii, England and the Caribbean. I drill most of my sea glass in my studio. I'm always learning more about my work and improving my skills.
Get to Know
My designs are inspired by the beauty of nature-whether I'm inspired by a riffle in a stream,a walk in the woods, or the gentle lull of the waves along the shore.
I especially enjoy designing jewelry for "full-figured" women. I can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed to try on a beautiful bracelet or necklace and find it is just too small to fit me. I try to make my creations adaptable to many size ranges by including extenders built within my pieces-it not only gives plus sized women the ability to wear my pieces-but it gives everyone flexibility in lengths. Almost anything I make can be adjusted to your perfect size.
I have always enjoyed some type of crafting and creating. From my childhood days being taught by my dear Aunt Sophie and my beloved Polish grandmother, Babcia how to sew on an old Singer sewing machine, to my current passion of jewelry designing and sea glass collecting. My real joy is in designing jewelry that appeals to you on some personal level.
Whether you are buying a pair of earrings that you are going to be wearing on your wedding day-to a bracelet you bought just because...I want you to be pleased with your purchases. If you have something special in mind and would like a custom piece, I take custom orders. I enjoy making your story come to life in a special piece of jewelry created just for you.
