Get to Know

I have for many years loved rocks, stones, pebbles, wood and driftwood.I have not been working at these jewelry projects very long, three years now maybe. Some days I work with stones and some days it's driftwood. At times I am at my work table drilling holes in stones, designing something new or forever cleaning up my work area and trying to get organized once again! My basement houses my stone work equipment where I tumble stones, grind stones, hand polish stones and sometimes lose my temper and throw stones. I enjoy what I do and wish I would have taken an interest in this type of creativity earlier in my life but am now trying to make use of what I know with what I have as long as I can. I do love looking at other craftman's work which inspires me. My background has been in the Graphic Arts area and wildlife painting. My interests have always been collecting driftwood and rocks and especially from the shores of Lake Superior. I am an older person who loves to be busy and busy I am.

I buy a lot of slabs and cut and polish them myself and I also find a lot of stones on the shores of lake Superior that you will see in my shop. I am always trying to find new ways to introduce my work. I am always wishing I had more time to try new things. My next project if I get to it is to learn how to solder, now that will interesting. Since this last statement I have been sodering and I enjoy it. I have only done the basics and am happy with that.

If anyone ever has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me.

There are so many great artists on Etsy, it's the best place to sell your work I think. I have items on three diffrent websites and Etsy has won me over.
