Interests
Leather, suede, beads, seed beads, crystals, precious stones and gems and other fun materials.
Skills and Techniques
I am very proud of some of the past special orders I have done. Some include bridesmaids bracelets in their wedding colors, suede bracelets with their logo on it for fundraisers, I even put kits together for a Aids/HIV camp to put together and make it their own. I love challenges of creating and bringing to life a thought in a customers mind.
Get to Know
Hi and welcome to my studio. First let me tell you how the name JabberJewels came about. My maiden name was Jablonski, polish father, God rest his soul. In my school years I had 2 nicknames, Jabber and Ski. JabberJewels just sounded better than SkiJewels, haha. The nicknames stuck with me all these years.
I have always been a crafty person ever since I can remember but I have only been making jewelry for about 8 years now. I started making jewelry when I had a major operation and was stuck in bed for 2 months and it just took off. Only after being out of the hospital for a couple of days, I made my husband take me to the bead store so I could hobble around and get started. With the use of the internet, books and other jewelry makers that I have met along the road, I am self taught. Little did I know that it was going to be this addictive. Now I have thousands and thousands of beads and other things, and I am always wanting to create something different.
When my husband and I decided to cross country from Massachusetts to California with nothing but our car and our puggle "Dudley" (shown in my pic, he's the big baby on my lap), there wasn't enough room for all my supplies, so I had to leave them behind in my storage area. I can't wait for the day to go back and get them, it's going to be like Christmas morning. Since then, have bought so much more.
I appreciate your business and I am always looking forward to finding new customers and friends. I had another shop that I had open for 2 years and have been very successful at and wanted to branch out to find new customers and friends.
For my old customers that may be looking for me, yes, I am JabberJewels, formerly from Etsy.
I have just recently started working with suede and leather and loving it. It is now my new addiction. I have also started to purchase stones and I am having a ball wrapping them with wire. If you have any questions about any of my pieces, feel free to message me and we can talk. I am always open for new suggestions. Thanks again for visiting and come back often.
