Get to Know

I have created art my entire life and a few years ago I discovered my favorite medium was collage.

I love to use papers from my vast collection of vintage ephemera mixed with fabric, felt, ribbons, paint, buttons, & found objects. In fact, that is why I began Sweet Peas & Memories. I knew if I wanted to use vintage items in my work, other people probably did too. That is when I began making my collage sheets from my vintage items. That way you get the vintage look without cutting up priceless antiques.

I have had my website: www.sweetpeasandmemories.com for over six years and for part of that time I even had a brick and mortar store. I love having online shop. It's fun to welcome shoppers from all over the world.

I have also written two books about women artists. I love to hear the stories of how other artists create.

In 2008 some of my work was featured in Romantic Homes Magazine. What a thrill!

Now days you can find me either at the elementary school where I teach art or hard at work on my computer creating new collage sheets & artwork

I hope you enjoy your time here and I look forward to having you visit again.

This is a little paper box that I added ephemera to to make a little scene.

this is the inside to my Paris in Spring box. I like the idea of a little surprise tucked away to discover later.

This is a hanging calendar that I made from old manila file folders and lots of my ephemera.

This is a collage box I made from a curio cabinet I found at a sale table. I added my seaside ephemera, paint, & a real shell.
