My jewelry making started over 3 years ago and I have made great strides in that time.
I'm a colorist first. This harkens back to my days as a watercolor artist - still one of my loves. The colors of the precious gems - sapphire, ruby and emerald - are unbelievable. And in the hundreds of semi-precious gems, the colors are great but, in addition you have the veining, inclusions and striations that are spectacular.
At the same time as my watercolor painting, I was a professional business woman - which become apparent in my more structured and tighter designs. I am loosening up more and more. I have a wry and dry sense of humor which sometimes pops up in the names of my pieces or collections.
Now I am retired and loving it! I have all the time to do my favorite things. Therefore, daily, I sit in what my husband refers to as "the mess" and I dream and I create - much more than I organize and clean. Then the next day I get up and dream and create again!!
Thanks for your time and have a good time browsing through my things. Let me know what you like or what you would like to see and I'll give it the old college try!
