Thanks for stopping by! I am 59 years old and disabled but I love to travel so after moving here, we found all of the mines around NC, SC and GA and learned to mine for gold and grub for gems. I love going to the mines to hunt for new rocks that I can use in my designs. I started making jewelry because I have always been a jewelry junky and, after a few visits to the mines, I had so many rocks, I had to figure out what to do with all of them before my porch fell off from the weight. I started tumbling rocks first and loved the surprises that were waiting for me everytime I opened the tumblers. Then, I bought a cabochon machine so that I could cut, grind, shape and polish the rocks after they were tumbled. After that, I bought a diamond drill so that I could make the finished gemstones into jewelry. I fell in love with the whole process and people started wanting my finished pieces so I decided to share by selling my pieces online. Since I am disabled and cannot work a regular job, this has allowed me to be productive and meet some really lovely people by throwing parties and doing various types of shows.
