Get to Know
Hello there,
I first learned to crochet about 7 years ago while visiting my grandmother's house, and since then I've continued to challenge myself to learn new techniques, designs and patterns. Each day I look to find something different to do by thinking of distinctive ways to make my own skills stand out in the sea of many crocheted items you would find at your local retail stores.
I find crocheting to be extremely relaxing and because of that, when I'm home, you'll normally find me with a needle and yarn ball in hand trying to make something new that I've never done before. I've often been teased by friends and roommates that, at my young age, I'd rather be messing around with a ball of yarn then going out for a night on the town. I find that I'm just happier at home working with yarn than out on the town-I guess that's partly due to the fact that I am a homebody-and, well, yarn is so much fun!
Crocheting is my favorite form of needle and yarn work but I do try and learn new forms such as working on a loom and knitting. I am pretty well versed with a loom but still find it difficult to work with knitting needles; as my grandma has said to me in the past (although I'm not sure if it's completely accurate, or a fish tale) "It's often easy to learn one and not the other" I know eventually, through my own determination, I'll learn to work with knitting needles as much as I have a crochet hook, but for now a loom and crochet hook often work best in my hands. So be on the lookout for new things I learn to make as I'm sure, once I get good enough at it, I'll have it on here to sell to you!
Thanks for checking out my shop!
This here is the family on Christmas day 2010 celebrating our new handmade items made by me.
This is a photo of a family member enjoying his new birthday gift; a handmade amigurumi doll inspired by one of his favorite films "My Neighbor Totoro".
A happy young lady wearing her new pink and purple piggy slippers!
