Artist Statement
Laurie Grace DeLeone
Painting for me is addictive,it touches me as deeply as the feeling of a first love.I love the animals,the flowers , nature itself. I strive to share this love through the use of paint .We are so much a part of nature and I think we tend to loose that joy with the daily demands of life. I hope that collectors of my work can be touched in some way to Stop and Smell the Roses for a moment and reflect on the joy and beauty that surrounds us each day.
I paint with Acrylics and watercolor primarily,and believe a good drawing is the foundation for a beautiful piece of art .
My style can be best described as Impressionist/realism although I do experiment with many styles and techniques to keep my work fresh.
I hope that the passion I have for art and the passion I have to share natures beauty is reflected in my work.
