Dottie: After having had a few careers prior to my becoming an artist, I finally found the best career for myself - being a full-time artist. My formal education is in the scientific fields of psychology and neuroscience, which I studied into the doctorate level. Something was missing in my life, though. So after thoughtful consideration, I decided to go back to the love of my childhood: art. I've never looked back.

Lara and Mark: We are stay-at-home parents and artists, and we live next door to our parents (and parents-in-law). We make and sell our jewelry lines online and at Portland Saturday Market and other art shows in the Oregon area. It's a great way to make a living and share every day with our daughter, Elena.

Randy: I've been an artist my entire adult life. I started selling my artwork in the '70's, being one of the very first artist/vendors at Portland Saturday Market, in Portland, Oregon. I received my art education at Portland State University, and I, too, feel that I have the best career possible.

We all live next to each other, see each other every day, share our days together as much as possible, while also getting our artwork done each day. It's a perfect situation for all of us, and we all think it shows in the quality, creativity, and originality of our respective product lines.
