I am a recent graduate of Kent State University where I went to school to learn how to be an Art teacher. I am currently searching for a job teaching K-12. I spent time as a toddler teacher at a local daycare. I now work full time creating for my Artfire and Etsy shops, and have been participating in craft shows. In college I started making jewelry with silver plated wire and various beads. This past fall I picked up sewing with felt. I began with a needle and thread (Yes, I really only had 1 needle in my entire apartment to start with!)and some felt. My first creations were some simple hair and purse clips/pins. I now have two wonderful sewing machines, an arsenal of felt, threads, buttons, beads, sequins, patterns and ideas. I get so many ideas going in my head, I had to get a big idea board just to keep track of them all! Occasionally, I do get a drawing or painting out, but most of them end up around my apartment for personal enjoyment. ********************************************* I use eco-friendly felt and polyester filling made from recycled bottles.
