I have always been a creative, hands-on person no matter what project I worked on. 22 years ago a friend teamed up with me to make beaded watch bands, an idea not seen before. Working together gave us much time to spend together and learning and creating new techniques to make the watchbands become better each time one was made. After several years of success at craft markets, we knew it was time to take the next step and sell to retail outlets. Too scary! So we divided up the leftover beads and dissolved the business partnership to concentrate on raising our children through their school years.

I got the itch to make myself a necklace in 2008 and reopened my cache of stones and beads. The resulting necklace was thrilling to design and the compliments I received convinced me to begin designing and making jewelry again. The internet was the logical place to begin selling my one-of-a-kind creations, so here I am! I see the "next" step to be one of opening my own website jewelry shop, but I cannot predict when that will be. Until then, please check in here at Lylah's Idea for new pieces every week.
