Fusing and painting glass to create jewelry, I collect crystals and stones and love drumming, reading, learning, Reiki and other spiritual studies.
Skills and Techniques
I have taken classes in basic metal work, wire wrapping and fused glass techniques. Most of my jewelry work is from books and tutorials. I've learned quite a bit about working with glass from Tanya Veit of AAE Glass.

Hello! My name is Maureen and I come from a long line of artistic women. Whether as a seamstress, poet, milliner, design artist, painter, musician, writer or dancer, the women in my family all find time for the arts.
I found my artistic calling through jewelry. My love of crystals, gemstones and mineral stones led me to start playing with beads. I had been creating jewelry for many years when I discovered glass fusing. I was amazed by the versatility, beauty and opportunity for creative expression in glass. The colors, cuts, shapes, styles, embellishments and innovative techniques feed my soul and amuse my muse every day. Now, I create one of a kind, artisan jewelry, specializing in pendants. In addition, I am planning to branch out into working with glass to create larger home decor items and accessories soon.
I am proud that my Dragonfly Meadow pendant (seen below) was selected as the winner of the Jewelry Category of the 2012 AAE Glass Extreme Fusing Contest.
I continue to evolve as an artisan, and cherish the road my life has taken thus far, while always looking forward to the future.
