Get to Know
Scrapbooking has grown to be a passion over the past few years. As I lost both of my parents in the past few years, scrapbooking has brought me much comfort and has allowed me to remain close to them in spirit. Browsing through pictures from days gone by brings back many comforting memories and keeps me in touch with my past.
My first venture with scrapbooking began as my mother began to show signs of dementia. My sister brought me a large box filled with 50+ years of pictures. She asked that I put them together in some type of album that Mom could look at and reminisce to aid her failing memory. The most difficult task was sorting through hundreds of pictures. Once that task was complete, I was able to move forward with selecting, organizing, placing and journaling the pictures that told the story of our mother's life. I am very grateful to my sister for giving me the incentive to start scrapbooking. Through it all, I was able to create a beautiful keepsake for our family, my legacy of love.
Now, you don't have to be a creative genius to create a record of your memories---even your children can be involved in the process. The most important thing is the desire to tell the story.
Through various ventures, I have collected quite an inventory of items that will help even the most inexperienced crafter to save those memories. Most of these items are offered at a significant discount from the original retail cost and most are brand new.
In the past I was a distributor for two scrapbook companies, both of which suddenly went out of business and dropped their consultant base. Therefore, I still have multiples of many unused, quality items left in stock. My ultimate goal to to clean out a lot of my inventory so that I can then focus on creating handmade/custom pieces. That is when the fun will begin!!
