Skills and Techniques
I am a self taught artist and believe there is a creative nature in all of us to be cultivated. My parents encouraged me artistically through paint by number kits, dance and acting classes,and cake decorating classes. In the 70's I could macrame you a plant hanger to wall art. In the 80's I was consumed with crocheting ponchos,alfgans,and hats. What can I say, I just LOVE working with my hands.

I have been creating all of my life as a hobby, but in the 70's with a recently deceased husband and 2 young children to support, creating became a means of survival. I had no education beyond high school, but I knew I loved to create art and that was my passion. In the middle 80's I jumped on the band wagon of magnet mania, selling my pieces at craft shows, and festivals. Then I landed some major wholesale accounts. Wow this was pretty awesome. But I learned you have to be flexable and after 8 years of producing magnets, I discovered handmade paper and my craft evolved from there to functional collage art. My love of color and design has always been a driving force within me.
