Get to Know

Pat Transue started her career as a child with a love of crafting. Throughout the years she has tried her hand at a variety of crafts.

In her teenage years she was asked to take pictures at a birthday party. What followed was a disaster. None of the pictures were any good. But throughout the years she felt drawn to photography and nature.

Eventually she purchased a digital camera and started playing around with it. Thankfully she had lots of encouragement from friends and family.

In 2004 she was asked to participate in a fine art show in Delaware Water Gap. She was well received, which led to her work being hung at Three Moons Gallery. As present her work has been featured in business throughout Monroe County as well as Sanofi Pasteur. She has attended fine art shows throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Currently her work can be seen at Art Scene in Wilkes Barre, Pa.

Pat has added to her line of photography; pins and necklaces using her photography and recycled glass. The pin/necklaces are available in a variety of sizes and shapes. She has also added Trivets to her line.

Her digital abstract art starts out with one of her photographs of something in nature and through several processes ends up becoming a one of a kind piece of abstract art. Each design is unique even though she might have started with the same photograph. She says it is like an adventure, you never know where you will end up.

When she is not sneaking off to smell the roses, she works at home designing catalogs, business cards, calendars, flyers and brochures for local business and artists.

My motto in life is "God has given us the gift of all the beauty that surrounds us. It is up to us to take a few moments each and every day to enjoy that gift. My hope is that by viewing my work, it causes you to forget all your troubles, allow the beauty to lift up your heart and cause you to smile inside and out.<
