Hi! Welcome to Pink Fish Designs, a collaboration between two sisters, Shannon and Helen, whose goal is to provide fun, one of a kind fashion jewelry at affordable prices.

Shannon is the older sister. She is the quiet, patient one and her designs are more likely to include small, intricate details. She has been known to throw everyone off with a little funkiness thrown in from time to time, but generally she prefers a more traditional style. In her free time, Shannon enjoys reading and playing with her two cats. Although she grew up with music as an important creative outlet in her life, playing piano, flute, and piccolo, Shannon didn't spend much time in hands-on arts. She eventually discovered her creative side as part of her recovery from battling cancer a few years ago. Once she discovered crafting as a relaxing outlet of creativity, she didn't turn back.

Helen is the younger sister. Growing up, she was the odd one out in a very quiet, reserved family. Her sense of style is bolder and more contemporary. While she appreciates the beauty of traditional pieces, her designs tend to reflect her more outgoing nature. Helen, the mom of two boys, has always included some form of art in her life, from art & drama in high school, to the the culinary degree she earned in college. The designs she creates now are a natural progression of her creativity.

We started making jewelry fairly recently, but quickly discovered a love of working with the beads, wire, and other materials. In the fall of 2010, we started our own website in order to sell our creations (www.pinkfishdesigns.com), and now we're trying to increase traffic by selling here on artfire as well. We both work full time at other jobs and have other commitments in addition to this venture, so we haven't been able to implement all the ideas we have for our company as quickly as we'd like to, but we do have a lot of ideas we'll be adding in the future.
