Skills and Techniques
I've been fusing glass since 2005 and continue to learn and experiment with new techniques. Fused glass or kiln-formed glass, as it is also known, involves melting cut or crushed glass together in a kiln until it becomes a single piece. The glass is then often shaped with molds to form items such as platters or bowls.

Get to Know
Hello, my name is Kellie Resetar and I am a fused glass artist living in Roswell, Georgia. I have been living in the Atlanta area for 22 years so having lived here nearly as long as my home state of Nebraska, I now consider myself almost a native. I'm one of those techie types that started my career with a Computer Science degree and needed creative outlets so have always had an interest in artistic endeavors.
Glass was always a love of mine so as soon as I noticed that the Spruill Art Center in Dunwoody, GA offered a class in Glass Fusing, I signed up. After my first class in 2005, I knew that this was going to be more than just a hobby. I then joined the Atlanta Glass Art Guild which helped me grow as an artist and learn the ropes in selling my art. I currently participate in several art festivals a year in the Atlanta area and sell my pieces through my website.
Currently, my favorite themes are flowers and geometric designs. Lately I've been obsessed with circles so you'll see lots of variations of that in my pieces. I've been mashing molten glass and drilling holes in glass all in pursuit of circles. I also have fun using tiny slices of millefiori glass in every imaginable way.
Thank you for your visit and for your interest in art that is handmade in America
