Get to Know

Over the years I have managed to gather and collect more crafts and projects than I will ever have time to complete. I now have more projects and ideas than the time to do it.
It's now time to let go of more of
my never ending supply. I used to say that I collected everything. I was on a treasure hunt or a rescue mission to save an item for my next project or to possess something old, unusual, or something my heart desired. I could always envision how I was going to use or display my new treasure. The thrill was in the hunt or a project completed.
I have spent many, many hours shopping craft stores, fabric stores, thrift stores, garage sales, estate sales, flea markets and auctions; not to mention things that friend and family have given me. So, now I have more projects than time.
I started downsizing about 15 years ago and I have passed on a lot of things. I started selling my collectables such as old dolls and doll furniture at antique malls and flea markets.
I still hunt and gather, just not as much as I used to. Right now my favorite treasure hunt is scouring the beach along Lake Erie for beach glass. That's a 300 mile drive for me so I go whenever I can.
I still have my favorites and as time goes by I am able to let go of more and more so you never know what might pop up on RetroVintageAndNow.
