I am Sarita Kamat, the designer of RiVaa Jewelry. I have always enjoyed working with different kinds of arts and crafts. I love nature and color. I worked with hand-painted glassware and hand-painted jewelry. While looking for jewelry findings I came across unique and fascinating beads and findings. Experimenting with the different shapes, textures, colors of beads and findings and creating bracelets, earrings and necklaces came naturally to me. I came to love working with beads and creating one of a kind designs. My designs and color combinations are inspired by nature and colors in nature. I use quality beads and findings. Each piece of jewelry is lovingly handcrafted, original and one of a kind. This is what sets my jewelry apart . I began selling my jewelry at art and craft fairs in and around Skokie, IL. I can make a similar design if you wish to order or in the colors and beads of your choice, depending on the availability of the beads. All custom orders can be made within 8 to 10 days of receiving the order. Please allow additional time for ordering any special beads you may desire. Each piece of jewelry is handcrafted with love and care in Skokie, Illionis.
My family has been very supportive with my venture. The photography for RiVaa is done by my husband Salil. My children Varun and Riya are very supportive and help me set up and organize my booth at art and craft fairs.
I wanted a very personal and unique name for my jewelry designs. Nothing seemed right. Finally it came to me.. I would name my jewelry collection after my children Riya and Varun..and in August of 2011 ... RiVaa was born.
