Skills and Techniques
Jewelry design and beading has become an obsession in the last several years. I work mainly with crystals. I'm learning wire wrapping still, and hope to do work soon that is equal to what I see other artisans produce. I enjoy sewing, clay work, stained glass, woodworking, rubber stamping, and crafting of many other types. Macrame was my first experience with jewelry making, but it doesn't compare with crystal in my opinion. Anything new that I see is something I have to try!

My name is Rita, I'm married and have been a hairstylist for a number of years now. I was lucky enough to be able to "retire" from that job a couple of years ago. Jewelry design is what I'd really prefer as a career. My sister works with me at times and is getting very good. She's become very good at the actual designing. I'm self-taught and always enjoy finding new patterns and learning new things. I love difficult patterns because I feel I get more out of it educationally.
I use sterling silver,14kt gold, plated metals, copper, and other stringing material. The beads I use are use Swarovski crystal, czech glass, pearls, semi-precious gemstones, seed beads, and so much more it's hard to list. I hope you find the perfect gift or something for yourself that you just can't live without. :)
If you see something you like, but it isn't "just right" let me know and I'll work with you to make sure it is. I'm always in the midst of re-doing my "other" website, taking better photos and posting new things.
I have no TIME to sleep, but when I do, I dream of beading. And did I mention I LOVE crystals and glass of any type? Even acrylic beads facinate me. That was my first experience with jewelry when I was young, so that may be why I still love it, but I do use mainly Swarovski crystals.
