My name is rose and Rita is my mother.
This studio is my homage to my mom, who loves beautiful things, sweet things, unusual things and things that are simply useful. She has collected many such things over a lot of years and some of those I will share with you here. She taught me to appreciate much of the same, and to this day I love to visit antique shops, thrift boutiques, estate and yard sales.
Together we have collected everything from furniture to kitchen utensils, fine china, figurines, lace, linens, crafting supplies and so much more - most of dating from the 1970s and older.
My hope is to share some of these memories and treasures with you.
I live and love in \\\"my little hut on my little acre\\\" in the northwest hills of Connecticut, US, with my spouse - most often referred to as \\\"The Boy\\\" and my charmer of a dog, named Halley. You might recognize me as rose of \\\"Walk in the Woods.\\\" If not, you can learn more about me at these places:

A sweet little Royal Dalton thimble found in the attic- and sold.
Every October in the 80s I would spruce up my business suit with this pin. Yet I had barely, if ever, worn it over the last two decades. I'm glad someone is enjoying it again!
I collected paper mache and wood boxes during the 1970s and 1980s. This is one that found its way into The Attic and out again.
I used to go fishing with my father-in-law. We were fishing buddies. It was because of that that I somehow started collecting fish jewelry in the 1980s. Perhaps wearing a glimpse of the weekend on my suit helped get me through the week with a smile.
