It all started with my mom at the Rennaissance Festival. Wait no..it actually all started with a little white dog I had as a child that shed ALOT. I would save his fur, promising myself that one day I would spin it in to yarn like my neighbors daughter did. Years passed and careers and life intervened, and I forgot about this childhood dream. Forward to the festival. My mom and I wandered in to a booth where they were demonstrating spinning on a hand spindle. I remembered my little dog and watched, entranced. My mom bought me a spindle and a little tuft of purple wool, and I spent the rest of the festival sitting at a picnic table trying to figure it all out. My husband, sisters, brother and mom all pitched in to buy me my first wheel..it was pretty obvious my fiber fanatacism wasn't going away any time soon. If it looked like fiber, I tried to spin it. Twists and turns in my life brought me to my current living..spinning yarn. It is my sole job and income and I love every minute of it! I also knit, crochet and weave. I have always loved a good story and it seemed natural to me to incorporate that in to my creations. Thank you for looking at my shop...now, make yourself comfortable while I spin you a tale! Oh yes..and I DO still have a small bag of that little white dog's fur. It is too precious to me to spin now, but I keep it tucked away as a reminder of that child who dreamed about spinning..
