Skills and Techniques
I have been obsessed with learning new techniques with my machines. Those include, but are not limited to, applique, beading by machine, heirloom sewing, garment construction, machine embroidery, teaching all these techniques, designing and making quilts, embellish fabrics, crinkle fabrics, make one of a kind wearable art, including a couple of show winners. Any technique I can do on a machine, I will learn to do it, if I don't already know how. No hand stitching for me !

Hand made gifts are always appreciated by the recipient. I have given hand made gifts to others all my life. Many of those gifts remain in their homes for years and years and are treasured by those who received them. I want you to feel the satisfaction of giving a hand made gift. These gifts will show that you have put a lot of thought into the gift giving process by selecting something personal and unique.
Quality materials are used. Threads used include, but not limited to, Sulky, Isacord, Guterman, Metrosene, all top quality threads. Fabrics are all first quality, 100% cotton, linen, or denim, independent quilt shop quality fabrics. (There is a difference in fabric quality.) My quilts are meant to be used and laundered gently. No bleach. Pillow forms will not be included with decorative pillow covers. (too bulky too ship) I will note what size pillow form to purchase when your item is received.
I have owned and operated a retail Bernina sewing machine store, and a quilt shop. I also offered BabyLock sewing machines. All products are created on these machines, and where necessary, embroideries are digitized or manipulated with Artista and/or Palette software. Embroidery designs are used per copyright of the digitizer. Licensed embroidery designs such as Disney, Precious Moments, Warner Bros., etc., will not be sewn and sold per their licensing restrictions. Embroidery designs have been purchased from Embroideryonline.com, Amazing Designs, Cactus Punch, Loralie Designs, and others to be sewn and sold on these items. Quanity limitations apply in some cases, per the designer. Many embroidery designs have been digitized by me, and therefore, not restricted by use or sale.
I hope you will enjoy these items for years, as much as I enjoy creating them. Having recently reached the half century mark, I have determined that I will spend the rest of my life creating with my hands and sewing machines, something that makes me smile when I am in my studio creating. I hope to purchase a long arm quilting machine in the near future to add even more dimension to my creations.
While living in AZ., I created and sold many one-of-a-kind garments. I have made wedding dresses, special garments for a man confined to a wheel chair, band promotors, and several wives of friends for Christmas. My parents and family are always willing recipients of my gifts, especially, my father, who has many one-of-a-kind vest relative to farming and cattle. I have been sewing since 8th grade and sewing has become my passion. I love creating with a needle and a thread, as long as a machine is powering the needle !!!! No hand work for me !
