I have always enjoyed creating things and I'm happiest when I'm surrounded by raw materials to use in making something. I always enjoy the feeling I have when I finish a project and I can say I made it myself. So much of what we buy and use these days is mass-manufactured and we are blessed to have so many conveniences, but that makes handmade products all the more special because a real human is creating them by their own hands, one by one or batch by batch, with care and patience. In this modern technological world we live in, there is still a great sense of pride and satisfaction in owning or giving something handmade.

I enjoy many different crafts, but jewelry making became my passion when my two daughters were given beading kits as gifts. While working with the girls on their creations, it suddenly dawned on me that I could make my own jewelry and design exactly what I wanted, in the colors, materials and sizes I wanted. Before long, I was hooked and soon, people were telling me I should be selling my creations. So, here I am, taking their advice!

My daughters are a great help to me in this endeavor. The two of them help out a great deal with the day to day mundane things, such as polishing jewelry, organizing and boring paperwork. They even create designs and color combinations that I may never have considered. Who knows, perhaps they, too, will someday start their own handmade businesses. (In our house, there is no lack of inspiration or materials for that!) In the meantime, we have a lot of fun working together and they are my biggest supporters!

My goal is to offer handmade fashion jewelry in various styles and materials, and at different price levels, in an effort to have at least something to please everyone. Most of the pieces in my shop can be made in different colors or metals, so please contact me if you see something that's almost, but not quite, what you're looking for, and I will gladly do my best to make those changes if possible. Also, if you'd like something created just for you, I would welcome the opportunity to work with you in creating something unique. Please contact me with any special requests.
