I recently graduated from SUNY New Paltz after four years studying visual arts with a focus on metalsmithing. Now in it\'s fifth year, Soasa is the venue by which I feed my constant need to create and work with my hands. With my jewelry I seek to emphasize the beauty of simplicity through subtle color and basic forms which are the product of reduction and restraint while designing. In an effort to make my jewelry available to as many people as possible I utilize both purchased and handcrafted components to create high quality, affordable pieces.
Soasa (pronounced So-sah) is derived from the initials of my original business name, Soul of a Starving Artist. The name reflects the intensity that many entrepreneurs encounter, the feeling of pouring one\'s very essence into the production of one\'s work.
