Skills and Techniques
Quilting is my passion. When I quilt I like to use different techniques with hand dyed fabrics, mixed media, hand painted or hand dyed cheesecloth, beading. I free motion quilt my art quilts and sometimes add in a bit a hand quilting. I have started teaching my cheesecloth techniques, so check out my blog and refer me to your quilt guild or art group to ask me teach it to you! It's messy and a lot of fun!

Color, I absolutely love color, especially when it is bright, cheerful and in some form of fabric or fibers. What you will find in my studio are hand dyed fabrics, art quilts, mixed media art work, Misty Fuse and various notions.
I started sewing when I was 5 years old and started quilting 8 years ago. I love the creative process and can't wait to get into my studio each day. Dyeing fabric is part of my process. I can't wait to see how the colors mingle and mix. It is a color surprise each day!
What inspires me? Different things, objects, landscapes, buildings, oh, you name it, I look at it and my mind starts working on how I can put it in an art quilt.
My motto: Stay Creative, you just never know where it will lead.
