Skills and Techniques
I am an avid crocheter. I love making jewelry, specifically incorporating vintage graphics into what I make. I bake bread (all summer) for Farmers Markets, and am currently writing a book called '101 uses for a loaf of bread'. I've been a party planner, a doll designer, I've painted, I've grown and worked with herbs.
Get to Know
I am happy as long as I am creating. It doesn't matter if it's a beautiful, intricate piece of jewelry or a delicious meal for my family. I have been blessed with a supportive husband and understanding children (4 or them - all boys).
Over the years there hasn't been much I haven't turned my hand to. Like most creative people the challenge is in learning the new skill, then it's off on to the next adventure. I have an attic full of supplies from forgotten past triumphs - funny thing though, everything usually comes full circle and I often find myself digging through boxes of old supplies, that suddenly have a new purpose.
Currently I'm spending most of time crocheting (or searching for the 'perfect' yarn). I was blessed with a grand son last year (my darling Jack), and a a grand daughter (Iris) this year! I finally get to make PINK things!! See - that tulle and glitter up the attic are coming in handy again!
