My husband and I live on a small farm in southeastern Indiana. We have two sons, Scott, who is married to a wonderful young woman, Christina, and Andrew, who is a junior at Purdue University. We raise emus (those funny looking birds related to the ostrich) and goats (both meat goats and dairy goats). I work as a paralegal and the goats, and my jewelry designing, are how I destress. I spend a lot of time working with the goats and when we are in the middle of milking season, I make fresh goat cheese. I started making jewelry about 4 or 5 years ago and fell in love! I try to broaden my abilities by learning new techniques. I enjoy making one of a kind pieces because every woman is unique-her jewelry should be as well! I also want my pieces to be affordable. In other words, I design pieces I'd love to wear and could afford to buy myself!
This was a custom made piece featuring African turquoise and copper chain.
I found these beautiful large crystals at a bead show and couldn't wait to get them into a showy piece!
The beautiful crystal pearls were ones I found at a bead store and brought home. After a couple of months, I found the carved rose and knew it would be perfect with the crystal pearls.
I love working with mixing different styles of chain in one piece. This custom piece was so much fun to make.
