Hi! My name's Charity I'm 29 years old and I LOVE designing and creating! I've been married for 10 years, and I'm the mom of a quirky and crazy 9 year old little boy, a 4 year old German Shepherd, Raiff, and a baby Eclectus Parrot, Jack.

When it comes to jewelry, I love the contrast of new and old combined into something that looks wonderfully distressed and worn but elegant- boho but glam. I also love when people have a quality piece of jewelry that they can keep forever and pass along to their loved ones, and I hope that some of the pieces I create can be that for someone. I cherish the few pieces that I inherited from my mom.

I also love books! I've been selling The Hunger Games inspired jewelry since September 2009, first on etsy, then later here on artfire. I've always loved to read since I can remember. I've really clung to books through the hard times in my life...I got my love of reading from my mom :) She got sick when I was 12, and died when I was 16 from cancer...I would curl up with a book in bed with her, and hold her hand while I read. I love books because they take you into another world that's not your own. They invoke so much feeling in you at times when you feel like you might be numb. They have so much power to change your outlook on life, or even just to change your mood for the day. There's nothing like a good book! So with all that said...it's obvious why I would turn to books for my inspiration in a lot of my work. :) I'm sure many of you feel the same way about books that I do. And maybe you'd want to carry a little piece of your favorite book around with you...like on a necklace, or a bracelet, or a ring? When you look down at it, you can be taken back to that place you were and those feelings you had when you were reading the words that inspired it.
