Get to Know
As a kid, Lindsay Durbin really wanted to be a veterinarian. Then one fateful day, she found out that they had to actually perform surgeries and deal with blood and stuff, instead of just sitting around playing with different animals. It was then she realized how awesome drawing was, and have been doing so ever since. (She also realized the importance of speaking in the third person.) Her major influences include the Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes and Saturday morning cartoons, before they started to stink.
She currently holds an M.F.A and B.F.A. in Sequential Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design. In the process of obtaining her Masters, she met fellow cartoonist James Hornsby and the two got hitched before jetting out of Savannah. As a delightful coincident, James creates ridiculously cute doodles that make great designs, which you will also find at The Merry Shop. (See: Kit-Tea items)
Lindsay is currently working on a joint effort to put the suspense/thriller/scary stuff graphic novel called A Friendly Game out in a bookstore near you. In her spare time, she is easily sucked into mid-rotting video games or reads a pile of books, both funny-books and "those real ones."
